Position Summary:
The primary purpose of the position is to ensure that scheduled and Emergency Response Calls are answered in a timely manner Field Technicians are responsible for clean ups, spills, COVID and Hazmat Decon work and other duties delegated by management that are within the scope of work.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Perform work under the direct guidance of a Supervisor or Foreman involving the remediation of cleanup regarding hazardous waste and materials.
- Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
- Daily work will involve confined space entry such as manholes, tank cleaning, oil spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping and shoveling, high pressure washing and various other remedial activities.
- Ability to work a rotating shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. “On-Call” based on the rotating “On-Call” schedule for Emergency Response. May require out of town travel. Length of travel will be dependent on service center and on-going projects
- Ability to work under adverse conditions (heat & cold)
- Physically able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary and lift > 50lbs routinely
- Accountability and punctuality
- Preforms other, related tasks as assigned
Work Schedule:
- Full-time employment.
- 40-hours per week, plus overtime.
- Employees are obligated to take part in the rotational on-call schedule, which may involve responding to emergency calls on weekends.
- On-site: This role necessitates your presence at our facility for work.
- Salary: $21 per hour to start based on level of experience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Pass a Pre-Employment Physical, Drug Screen and Alcohol Testing
- Pass a Pre-Employment Background Screening
- Pass the OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour Training
Other Requirements:
- You may need to travel to a different state for five business days to complete our 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training, Monday - Friday. All expenses during this period will be covered by the company. Normally, this training is conducted in Bridgeport, CT.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
