Job Essential Functions
- Supports the development and implementation of new delivery equipment, systems, and system enhancements
- Supports Provides professional engineering services and technical expertise to support carrier and delivery products
- The development of the project plans, requirements documents, Technical Architecture Documents, logical data model documents, Business Impact Analysis, Business Needs Statements, specifications, standards and Technical Drawing Packages for systems to support Delivery
- Supports the integration of equipment, systems, and enhancements to the existing infrastructure. May serve as a technical authority for a particular area
- Support testing of delivery equipment
- Evaluate vendor performance in the manufacturing and service environments.
- Develop Solutions to issues such as end of life parts, enhancement of equipment and the analysis of production equipment
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related area of specialty
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering or in a related area required for Mechanical Engineers
- Experience in independently completing design; including 3D modeling, 2D drawing, detailing, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Experience with using solid modeling software in 3D modeling and 2D drawings of mechanical components and assemblies
- Experience using MS Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Additional Requirements:
- Candidate must be able to sit, stand and work at a computer for prolonged periods
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to travel as needed (less than 10%) and work mostly Monday to Friday from 8am - 5pm, with 1 hour lunch, and on occasion weekend hours may be required
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check & drug test
- Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for a Public Trust clearance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
