We are growing and we are seeking a Jr. Accountant to join our team!
We are seeking an experienced accountant with a comprehensive skill set to manage a broad portfolio of clients from diverse economic sectors, with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be proactive, bring innovative ideas, possess strong analytical skills, and excel in preparing detailed reports. This role requires a well-rounded accountant who will oversee the entire accounting cycle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Accounting Manager in` all accounting transactions and reporting requirements.
- Record accounting entries for amortizations, depreciations, interests, cost distribution, and profit distribution among partners.
- Prepare monthly provisions for income, expenses, and costs as required: property tax, operating expenses and costs, and unbilled income, among others.
- Prepare account and bank reconciliations, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze reports and financial statements.
- Record customer and supplier invoices, as well as their respective collections and payments.
- Prepare the sales tax return.
- Balance and reconcile intercompany accounts.
- Maintain and comply with the checklist of activities and monthly reporting calendar.
- Maintain control of “Open Items” by customers.
- Implement QuickBooks.
- Monitor aging of accounts receivable and payable.
- Record payrolls.
- Properly file and safeguard supporting documentation for all transactions performed.
Requirements:
- Degree in Public Accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience as an accountant.
- Preferably experience in accounting firms.
- Ability to communicate efficiently both verbally and in writing.
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking, organized.
- Ability to multitask and meet established deadlines.
- Certification in QuickBooks required. Proficient in Office 365.
- High sense of commitment, responsibility, confidentiality, and ethics.
- Willingness to work as a team.
- Ability to handle large volumes of information.
- Proactive with initiative to propose solutions and incorporate improvement procedures in the activities performed.
- Bilingual Spanish-English required
- Ability to work under pressure.
