POSITION: CWS Career Training Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations, Training and Credentialing

COMMITTMENT: Full-time, Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm
POSITION SUMMARY
The Corporate Work Study Career Training Coordinator is responsible for the daily management of all CWS non-deployed workers, including attendance, direct oversight, training and facilitation of off-site opportunities. This person will be responsible for the development of training materials and delivery of lessons that actively engage non-deployed students in the development of essential skills required to proficiently perform job responsibilities and grow as confident professionals. In addition, this role will plan and facilitate alternative work experiences that provide enriching opportunities to engage with the community. The position reports to the CWS Director of Operations, Training, and Credentialing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a general representation of this position's critical duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
This is year year-round, 12-month position.
Career Training Coordinator Roles:
- Plan, develop, and deliver career training lessons for 9-12 grade non-deployed students on, but not limited to, job readiness skills, soft skills, technology application, and workplace etiquette.
- Manage non-deployed student attendance and behavior throughout the workday.
- Use various instructional strategies to deliver student-centered lessons that are engaging, hands-on, and personalized for students.
- Assist non-deployed workers in meeting productivity challenges and provide strategies to overcome workplace barriers.
- Create and manage a daily schedule for students, including scheduled break times and lunches with check-in/out process for the day
- Assess non-deployed workers' strengths and help them to use them effectively.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of non-deployed workers, including keeping records and documentation and preparing appropriate reports, as necessary.
- Plan, oversee, and facilitate work service events hosted on work study days for non-deployed students.
- Complete non-deployed student timecards at the conclusion of each work study day providing ratings and feedback.
- And other CWS duties as assigned.
CWS Operational and Administrative Support:
- Assist (when needed) with the daily student worker check-in and check-out process.
- Ensure students take the necessary precautions to protect assigned equipment (including technology devices) and materials.
- Advise CWS on non-deployed worker room accommodations and space requirements.
- Create and oversee the daily process of cleaning, repairing, and storage of all non-deployed worker tech equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Develop effective non-deployed worker incentives and reward plans.
- Work with the CWS Operations & Logistics coordinator to manage all worker attendance efforts, including attendance, verifying absences with parents, and communicating to clients regarding delays, absences, and make-up schedules.
- Assist with CWS event planning and related tasks.
- Ensure student compliance with all CWS handbooks/policies.
- Utilize various software, including (not limited to) Google suite, Saleforce.com, and PowerSchool, to enter data and prepare reports and/or special projects.
- Adapt to changes in responsibilities in a positive manner, be receptive to new ways of completing tasks, and be flexible in carrying out assignments.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant work experience is required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated experience in classroom settings, a proven track record of effectively engaging and instructing students to foster a productive learning environment.
- Demonstrate experience in coaching students, employing effective strategies to nurture their academic and personal growth while fostering a supportive and motivational atmosphere.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Apps.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of operational management and logistics.
- Some hands-on experience in an academic or non-profit environment, preferably in an urban setting.

- Must be willing to get Van Driver certified by the State of Ohio
- Demonstrated commitment to Catholic, faith-based education.
