One Saturday a month 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
-
Certification and Enrollment of Clients
-
Check-in clients
-
Assess identification/residency/income eligibility and obtain demographic information for each client.
-
Explain WIC rights and responsibilities to each client.
-
Complete the clerical portion of the certification process.
-
Support and assist the Senior Client Service Specialist in performing their duties.
Client Services
-
Perform phone duties and other office tasks.
-
Issue eWIC cards and PIN.
-
Schedule appointments.
-
Complete satellite clinic duties.
-
Promote breastfeeding.
-
Make referrals and document them in Journey.
-
Be knowledgeable about WIC food packages.
-
Support the Breastfeeding Peer Counselor program by referring relevant participants.
Record Keeping and Documentation
-
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
-
Organize and maintain work areas and program supplies.
-
Complete the state WIC Personal Activity (PAR) timesheet.
Cultural Sensitivity
Embraces and displays sensitivity relative to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the agency's service population.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Interpretation Experience preferred.

Ability to pass a translation skills assessment.

Experience with Microsoft office Suite.

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience in operating personal computers and knowledge of word processing, databases, and WIC Journey software is desirable.
