Compensation:
$30 - $40 hourly
Responsibilities:-
Fill out a daily log of job site occurrences and keep detailed records of job changes, providing documentation for the project manager
- Adhere to all safety guidelines on job site and immediately report any incidents or violations of work rules to supervisor
- Develop your construction skills and technique by helping the construction manager, contractors, project engineers, and builders with all aspects of the job and the daily procedures of the project so it’s completed quickly
- Prepare materials for returns, fill out purchase orders, receive on-site material deliveries, remove debris, and handle waste removal properly
- Ensure maintenance of a clean job site, watering the yard as needed to create a good exterior appearance
- Team Leadership: Lead, supervise, and motivate a construction crew, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities

Project Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects

Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all crew members. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections

Quality Assurance: Maintain quality standards by inspecting work in progress and ensuring compliance with construction plans and specifications

Resource Management: Manage crew resources effectively, including equipment, materials, and manpower, to optimize productivity and minimize downtime

Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction, such as delays, conflicts, or unexpected challenges

Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to crew members to enhance their skills and performance. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily progress reports, materials used, and any deviations from the original plan

Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and expectations

Budget Adherence: Assist in monitoring project budgets and controlling costs by optimizing resource utilization and minimizing waste
Qualifications:-
Able to work outdoors for long periods of time, and be able to climb ladders and stairs
- Previous work experience as an admin or in the construction industry is valuable but not required
- Proven track record of adhering to project schedules, being a team player, regular attendance at work, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
- Be familiar with basic skills and construction methods, such as how to use construction equipment and tools
- Must have graduated high school or has GED
- Experience: Previous experience in a construction leadership role, with a proven track record of successfully managing and coordinating construction projects

Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading construction plans, blueprints, and specifications. Knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and equipment

Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate team members. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and develop effective solutions in a fast-paced construction environment

Safety Consciousness: Deep understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices. Certification in OSHA standards is preferred

Organizational Skills: Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Physical Fitness: Good physical condition with the ability to perform tasks that require manual labor and work in various weather conditions

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications or training in construction management or related fields are a plus
