We are a lighting design firm specializing in luxury residential, creative commercial, retail, and resort/hospitality design. We are seeking a draftsman to work in a team environment led by a project manager to execute client deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Assist the project manager by preparing plan documentation and associated deliverables.
- Prepare lighting fixture/luminaire schedules and specifications.
- Prepare presentation documents using Canva or similar software. On the job training will be provided.
- Prepare lighting control and motorized shade documentation using proprietary manufacture software.
- Perform lighting analysis using Revit plugins and other software.
- Attend internal meetings to receive work assignments, design direction, and feedback on work performed.
- Assist the project manager by executing redlines provided internally or from external review.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants, including limited external communication with clients, consultants, and external design team members, to provide assistance and technical support.
- Review personal work before submitting it to the project manager for approval. Correct and advance work products as directed by the project manager.
- Issue final deliverables to the client at the direction of the project manager.
Skills
- Excellent knowledge of Revit required.
- MS Office skills using Excel, Word, and Outlook are required.
- AutoCAD or ArchiCAD skills are a plus.
- Twinmotion or other rendering skills are a plus.
- Adobe Illustrator or similar skills are a plus.
- Ability to learn and use internal cloud-based project management software.
- Ability to become familiar with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards such as the NEC, IECC, ASHRAE 90.1, and California Title-24.
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects including lighting design, lighting control design, motorized shade design, electrical design, and audio-video/automation design.
- Time management and organization skills.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
