The Associate Systems Engineer implements, supports, and maintains overall IT services including networking, IT security, email, servers, storage, and cloud services. The Associate Systems Engineer also provides advanced technical support for complex server, networking, and desktop issues. The Systems Engineer also ensures all systems are properly maintained including patching, backups, optimization, and tuning of all systems. This individual will be involved with plan, design, and implementation of the local area network (LAN) and the wide area network (WAN) systems.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintain all corporate, datacenter, and restaurant server infrastructure.
· Research and recommend network and server hardware and software.
· Monitor usage to ensure security of data and access privileges; installs, support and maintain both physical and virtual network servers and appliances.
· Install, maintain, and troubleshoot the Storage Area Network (SAN).
· Optimize performance of all systems.
· Maintains daily server back-ups.
· Research, analyze, monitor, troubleshoot and resolve server or data network problems.
· Maintain and optimize use of cloud services including secure practices of cloud services.
· Assist in planning, coordinating, and consulting with vendors and clients for hardware/software purchases, product services and support.
· Assist in coordinating special projects.
· Assist in providing network and remote connectivity hardware/software support.
· This is a key position of the IT department and requires on-call availability.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EDUCATION
· Three (3) plus years of hands-on, expert-level Network and Systems Administration experience.
· Three (3) plus years of hands-on experience with firewalls, routers, and switches.
· Three (3) plus years of hands-on experience with storage solutions.
· Two (2) plus years’ experience with cloud services such as O365 and Azure.
· Two (2) plus years’ experience with Microsoft SCCM.
· Hands-on experience with multi-location Hyper-V environment.
· Prior VOIP experience for multi-location environment.
· Strong customer service skills.
· High energy level required to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Proven ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities.
· Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, VPN, LAN/WAN topologies, Active Directory, backups and disaster recovery
· Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, and Palo Alto networking equipment.
· Technical certifications preferred.
· Prior hospitality experience preferred.
