As a Product Owner, you will be pivotal in analyzing, designing, and implementing business processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency and support strategic initiatives within the CURO. You will collaborate closely with a cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions swiftly and efficiently using Agile methodologies and achieve exceptional business outcomes. The ideal candidate should possess a blend of business acumen, technical expertise, and effective communication skills to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology partners.
Responsibilities:
What you will be doing:

Requirements Gathering: Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into detailed business requirements and functional specifications

Backlog Management: Prioritizing and maintaining the product backlog, ensuring that all items are clearly described, estimated, and prioritized. Facilitating regular backlog grooming sessions to keep the development process smooth and efficient.

User Story Development: Crafting well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development team. Ensuring user stories clearly convey the value to the user and are aligned with broader business objectives.

Team Collaboration: Fostering a collaborative culture within your team and function as a mentor to junior staff. Encouraging open communication and problem-solving to achieve high performance and meet project deadlines.

Agile Leadership: Functioning as the linchpin between business stakeholders and the development team. Guiding and participating in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure iterative progress and adaptation.

User Training and Support: Providing training and support to end-users on new systems, processes, and applications to ensure successful adoption and utilization.

Change Management: Facilitating change management processes and activities to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth transitions during system implementations and upgrades.

Documentation and Reporting: Creating and maintaining documentation, including business requirements, process flows, system configurations, and user manuals. Generate regular reports and updates on project status, issues, and resolutions.

Data Analysis: Performing data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decision-making and support strategic initiatives.

Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to data security, privacy, and operational risk management.
Qualifications:
What you should have:

B.S. in Computer Science or a related degree or equivalent experience

5+ years of proven experience as a Product Owner (consumer lending or finance industry preferred)

Strong understanding of consumer lending products, processes, and regulations

Extensive experience writing clear and concise user stories and requirements, managing backlogs and iterative product development

Experience with Agile methodology and principles, with strong ability to implement them in daily processes

Solid technical skills, including knowledge of SQL, database concepts and software development life cycle (SDLC)

Outstanding communication, leadership, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Sharp analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions

Strong organizational and time management skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Proficient with Azure DevOps and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Base Salary: $85,000 - $110,000
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based on the U.S. average. The actual base salary offered for this full-time position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, skills, knowledge, competencies, and experience.
All full-time salaried employees are eligible for the following benefits, starting on day one: Flexible Paid Time Off Program, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, and other voluntary coverages. You will also be eligible to participate in our 401k program, starting on the first of the month following 30 days of employment with a company match.
