Job purpose
The Maintenance Director will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our trucking fleet. This individual will oversee maintenance shop and a team of skilled technicians, ensuring all trucks are well-maintained and adhere to safety standards.
Duties and responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Fleet Maintenance:
- Oversee the repair and maintenance of trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Shop Management:
- Manage and lead a team of technicians and support staff.
- Coordinate work schedules and assignments to optimize efficiency.
- Maintain an organized and well-equipped maintenance facility.
Quality Control:
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of maintenance work.
- Address any issues promptly to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
Budget Management:
- Manage the maintenance department budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or quality.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
- Implement innovative solutions to enhance fleet performance and reduce maintenance costs.

Working conditions
The Maintenance Director may work in various conditions and can be exposed to extreme heat, cold, humidity, precipitation, dusty conditions, mechanical parts, electrical hazards, hazardous chemicals, and noxious fumes and odors in both indoor and outdoor environments. Travel and working in various locations are required.

This position oversees multiple technicians and support staff.
