Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Sourcing Manager to join our team in Bellevue, WA. This role is integral to supporting our sourcing operations and ensuring the efficient procurement of seasonal and floral home goods.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and compliance standards are met.
- Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to optimize shipping and distribution processes.
- Collaborate with the product development team to ensure sourced products meet design specifications and market requirements.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights.
- Assist in preparing and presenting reports on sourcing activities.
- Manage communications with overseas factories to ensure alignment on production schedules, quality standards, and timely delivery.
- Familiarize and ensure compliance with international product testing protocols and standards.
- Manage product samples, including ordering, tracking, and evaluating sample quality and adherence to specifications.
- Support digital marketing initiatives by collaborating with the marketing team to ensure sourced products align with digital campaigns and promotional strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within the home goods or related consumer products industry, with a focus on seasonal or floral items preferred.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Experience with ERP and supply chain management software, NetSuite experience preferred.
- Familiarity with international product testing protocols and standards.
- Experience in digital marketing, including understanding digital campaigns and promotional strategies.
