Responsibilities
-
Check in all inbound freight and compare to the appropriate packing slips and or invoices while inspecting parts for damage.
Prepare all outbound shipments for shipping with adequate protection to prevent damage during transportation.
Assist delivery driver in loading shipments.
Maintain a clean and organized shipping / receiving area.
Review all non-received parts with parts manager.
Back up parts counter people with pulling parts for repair orders and if needed assist technicians with looking up parts.
Assist in the maintenance of the department ie.
- Warranty scrap and returns.
- Bin counts and organization
- Quarterly factory returns
The purpose of the shipping \ receiving position is to learn the process of the department and to also learn how to be a parts professional. The person must be able to lift 50lbs. on they’re own. The person must maintain a professional appearance with approved attire and proper grooming / hygiene. Occasionally the shipper / receiver may be asked to fill in for the delivery driver when needed of if there is an urgent delivery situation.
Qualifications

Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience a plus but we will train the right individual
- Are able to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Have strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
