POSITION TITLE: Sr. Cloud Engineer
REPORTS TO: Director, Service Delivery
LOCATION: Need the best candidate – preferably but not restricted to the Greater Tampa Area

Who you are
You are a highly skilled and experienced cloud engineer with a focus on building and maintaining cloud environments. You have an extensive background in AWS and a full understanding of cloud technologies across all platforms. You are excited about solutioning cloud environments that operate in a stable, consistent and secure manner and adhere to all architectural (internal), regulatory and industry standards. What you will be doing

Designing, engineering and implementing standardized cloud systems focusing on security and best practices ensuring that high levels of uptime are achieved.

Identifying opportunities to optimize the functionality, performance, stability and security of existing cloud environments, continuously assessing systems, processes and procedures for possible improvements.

Ensuring all existing cloud environments operate in a stable manner to minimize system issues and overall production impact.

Working to strategize and develop the overall architectural rules to be adhered to globally within the cloud footprint.

Ensuring all cloud ecosystems meet security and compliance requirements including documenting and engineering strategies to address risks.

Developing and managing the monitoring/alert/self-healing processes of all cloud entities, coordinating change and adjustment to keep all AWS platforms operational.
What you need
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

10 years in systems engineering with 8 years architecting and solutioning in AWS at an enterprise level

Deep understanding of native AWS systems and applications including networking, virtualization/automation tools, compute and storage

Experience setting up cloud environments across multiple technologies

Solid understanding of cloud networking philosophies and protocols

Windows and Linux host administration including virtualization

Configuration management technologies (Chef, Ansible, etc.)

HIPPA, PII and other security-based regulations

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations

Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with often-changing priorities

Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
