SEEKING A QUALIFIED, FULL-TIME MEDICAL ASSISTANT OR LPN TO JOIN OUR GROWING, FAST-PACED, REPUTABLE DERMATOLOGY CLINIC!
Dermatology practice located in Westport, CT searching for a diligent candidate who can perform the following tasks:
➢ Organize patient flow according to protocol and prepare exam rooms for patient examinations in accordance with all health and safety guidelines
➢ Greet and escort patients to exam room upon arrival and help patients prepare for his/her exam as appropriate
➢ Take vital signs and measure weight and height
➢ Obtain and record each patient’s medical history, vital statistics, test results, and/or other pertinent information in EMR system
➢ Obtain preauthorization for procedures and/or medications as necessary
➢ Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician
➢ Assist physicians with surgical excisions and collecting biopsies / specimens
➢ Perform Photodynamic Therapy under physician supervision
➢ Schedule appointments for patients with other specialists as directed
➢ Calibrate, clean, sterilize, and inventory all medical equipment and instruments
➢ Organize and make sure supply cabinets are always well stocked
➢ Maintain HIPAA, OSHA, and corporate compliance with other applicable law and regulations
➢ Maintain company standards of performance and policies at all times
Candidate must meet the following minimum criteria:
➢ High school diploma / GED
➢ Active Medical Assistant or LPN Certification
➢ CPR/BLS certified
➢ Two years MA or LPN experience is preferable; Dermatology is a bonus
➢ Strong oral, written, and verbal skills in the English language are required
➢ Strong organizational skills are required
➢ Proficient in Google Suite and Chrome
➢ Proficiency navigating EMR systems
➢Ability to bend, lift up to 15 lbs & move heavy equipment (i.e. lasers, etc.)
Further, any viable candidate will be subject to a full background investigation (including a criminal record check, identification verification, sex offender report, and reference check) following a conditional offer of employment.
Work Hours: This position is full-time - 40 hrs, Monday-Friday (10 hour shifts range within the hours of 7am-7pm) and one Saturday per month (8am-2pm) as needed. NOTE: business hours fluctuate and are subject to change
Compensation: $19-25/hour - based on skills and previous experience
