Echoing Hills Village, Inc (Echoing Hills of Northeast Ohio) is seeking an HR Generalist for its Stark/Summit Region to be responsible for facilitating the daily operations and activities of Human Resources in the Stark/Summit region. Duties will include recruitment, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. Reporting to the Corporate Director of Human Resources, this position partners with the Regional Director while working closely with other Leadership and Corporate team members.
The HR Generalist position also carries the following responsibilities:
- Bona Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ): Responsible for developing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance, and that services environment of care are in alignment with fulfilling the mission, purpose, and core values of the Ministry.
- Leads regional recruitment strategy and activities for all positions including attending career fairs, screening, interviews, and selection of candidates.
- Coordinates the pre-employment activities, orientation, onboarding, and training for all new employees.
- Interprets and administers Human Resource policies and procedures and develops recommendations for the updating of them as necessary.
- Processes HR, payroll, and payroll-related activities on a daily, weekly, and biweekly basis including maintaining information in the HRIS and timekeeping system, processing payroll changes, and coordinating with the Corporate HR and Finance teams on a regular basis.
- Coordinates short-term disability and leaves of absence, including FMLA.
- Manages the first report of injuries and claims for all staff and may serve as the liaison between the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the third-party administrator and managed care organization.
- Administers and coordinates employee relations effects including counseling statements, corrective actions, documentation, etc.
- Serves as a liaison between the region and Corporate Human Resources regarding legal ramifications of disputes from employees and/or government agencies.
- Oversees, prepares, and submits necessary Human Resources reports such as overtime tracking, turnover/retention calculations, etc.
- Assists the Corporate Director of Human Resources with projects and assignments as needed.
Work performed in this position will be primarily in an office environment (On-Site) and sedentary in nature. This position requires a professional, patient, and confidential manner. Employee will be required to travel off-site to other locations in that region for HR purposes and for meetings, seminars, community events, etc.
The position requires a basic knowledge and understanding of the rules and regulations set forth by the Ministry and the Ohio Department of DD. The HR Generalist will serve on the Safety Committee and other committees. The position requires creativity, flexibility, self-direction, self-discipline and organization to carry out these responsibilities outlined.
Salaried: $62,400 per year
