We're seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team of medical professionals. The Licensed Practical Nurse will assess residents' physical and mental conditions, administer care, and provide services encouraging residents to live as independently as possible. Licensed Practical Nurses are encouraged to design wellness plans for residents and are required to report any changes in their health or condition.
Responsibilities:
- Take a patient's medical history.
- Assess patients' social and physical needs.
- Monitor patients' progress and notify their doctor of changes in condition.
- Perform basic nursing tasks to assist the physician with examinations and treatments.
- Clean, suture, dress, or bandage wounds.
- Assist hospitalized patients with personal hygiene and other self-care tasks.
- Document patient's condition and relay pertinent information to the doctor.
- Prepare medication and administer injections.
- Manage medications and administer injections.
- Maintain medical records.
- Dispose of medical waste or materials.
