Job Title: DMV Clerk
Report to: Office Manager
The Title Clerk for vehicle sales processes car deals. S/he verifies cost, including the costs of reconditioning and equipment add-ons, for the accounting department and prepares legal transfer documents for the DOL.
Job Description:

Prepare tax and title documents in a timely manner.

Submit all legal transfer documents to the DOL in a timely manner.

Prepare stock cards for new and used vehicles.
-
Receive and process paperwork from F&I department.

Prepare payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins.

Post vehicle sales and purchases.
-
Input inventory control information.
-
Report new-car sales to manufacturer(s).

Register extended service policy contracts.

Prepare trade-in paperwork.

Ensure that name and address files are updated on an ongoing basis.

Treats members of the public in a courteous and non-discriminatory manner, and maintains a professional demeanor while on the job. Never use profanity.

Adheres to the dealership’s sexual harassment/non-discrimination policies and the other policies in the dealership handbook.

Maintain ongoing compliancy with Car Pros Policies and Procedures via Compli.

Follow Car Pros standards regarding dress code.

Wear Car Pros Employee ID Badge daily.

Performs other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.

Ability to type at least 45 wpm.

Automotive accounting experience preferred.
