An LPN performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a registered nurse

- Venipuncture for blood collection
- Insertion of IV cannulas
- Physical Assessment and collecting of information
- Fingerstick & Heelstick blood sugars
- Directing staff in patient care
- Insertion of foley catheters
- Dressing wounds and skin care
- Quick Cult
- Provides newborn care
- Provides post-partum, pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care
