The client built their practice on the foundational beliefs that creative design drives successful projects, and that collaborative working relationships with municipalities, permitting authorities and local and state agencies yield tangible results throughout the development process. Their extensive range of experience includes industrial, commercial, large mixed-use, energy, hospitality, healthcare, education, municipal and multi- and single-family residential projects. From large-scale industrial projects to preliminary feasibility studies, their goal is to provide value through creative and cost-effective design solutions.
Overall responsibility:
As a Project Engineer on our Site Development team in their Houston office, you will:
- Preparing preliminary analysis on a variety of technical tasks.
- Involved in assignments that continue to develop abilities in area of specialty.
- Makes independent decisions about assigned areas of responsibility.
- Survey, design file, temp sheet, and temp sheet overall clean up
- Prepare basic calculations
- Schedule project deliverables
- Collect, organize, and evaluate data
- Organize and file project materials and references
- Analyze systems utilizing computer modeling
- Develop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawing
- Vehicle tracking, Utility flowlines, and Pipe conflicts
- Complete public plans - plan and profiles – water, storm, HCFCD outfall wastewater, left turn lane, traffic control plan, details.
- Pavement design – understand geotechnical report, paving details
- Sidewalk design
- Public plan signatures: COH, AT&T, CPE
- TxDOT driveway permit
- FEMA floodplain information
- FIS profiles
- Sheet design: SWPPP, SWQMP, TCP, Dimension Control, Utility Plan, Drainage Area Map, Drainage Spreadsheet, Details Sheets
- Works closely with project and task team leaders
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required skills and experience:
- Activities include research: preliminary design calculations and field work and observation

Requirements
Educational requirements:
- Civil Engineering degree and 2+ years’ experience.
- Registered Texas E.I.T.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $74,178.41 - $120,000.00 per year
