Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HEDIS Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- HEDIS Data Collection: Coordinate the collection, validation, and submission of HEDIS data in accordance with NCQA guidelines and timelines.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of HEDIS data by performing thorough reviews and audits.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with HEDIS specifications and regulatory requirements, ensuring all processes and submissions comply with standards.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of HEDIS activities, including data collection methodologies, validation processes, and results.
- Data Analysis: Analyze HEDIS data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to improve healthcare quality and performance.
- Reporting: Prepare and present HEDIS reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on HEDIS measures, data collection procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance HEDIS processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and outcomes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, quality improvement teams, IT, and other departments to ensure seamless HEDIS data collection and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, public health, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HEDIS coordination, quality improvement, or healthcare data management.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of HEDIS measures and NCQA requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Certifications: Certification in HEDIS or quality improvement is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, typically within a healthcare or office setting.
