Join our Registration team at Orthopaedic Hospital of WI! We are looking for a customer service-oriented person to join our surgical registration team at OHOW. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7AM to 3:30PM or 7:30AM to 4PM. No holidays, no weekends!
Core Responsibilities
- Greets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls.
- Schedules, preregisters, and registers patients for appointments.
- May collect copays and payments for supplies. May perform some insurance verification.
- Performs general clerical duties including filing, faxing, and email correspondence. Creates various reports and documents as assigned.
- Communicates with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members about patient care.
- Assists with meeting patient needs and escalates as appropriate.
- Assists with stocking supplies and keeping the department clean and orderly.
Required:
- Hospital experience
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Preferred:
- Customer service or patient service experience
