The Logistics Manager is responsible for the overall supply chain management of goods. They manage the entire order cycle to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction. The Logistics Manager forecasts how much inventory will be needed by a specific date in order to satisfy the expectations of the client. They are responsible for moving goods across the supply chain of the company. This process consists of various functions like Order Processing, Inventory Control, Warehousing, Transportation, Material Handling, Storage Systems & Logistical Packaging.
Duties and responsibilities
- Process all customer orders in a timely manner as they are placed in Net Suite or Shopify, this includes entering manual order requests from the Customer Support team
- Work closely with the Accounting team to ensure all products are correctly entered into Net Suite and Shopify.
- Coordinate with Accounting team on both week-ending and month-ending accounting transactions
- Coordinate shipment of all products for Customers, Sales Reps & Distributors, Trade Shows & Special Events
- Oversee product imports from Domestic and International suppliers while adhering to FDA and Customs standards.
- Control all product inventory and determine optimal reorder points
- Discuss weekly reports on inventory totals to CFO and Director of Operations
- Work with Quality Assurance team on the quality control of incoming products & outgoing shipments, enter reports for Greenlight Guru as necessary
- Develop and document warehouse procedures, policies and safety practices
- Responsible for maintaining the warehouse for FDA audits and participating in FDA audits as they pertain to the warehouse
- Investigate and present to the team cost saving measures for shipping, receiving, warehousing, supplies, materials, etc.
- Maintain close contact with domestic and international freight forwarders, assuring all products are delivered and shipped in a timely manner, including continuous negotiation of rates
