General Summary:
Responsible for maintaining a constant supply of clean linens and towels for the hotel.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide superior service to guests, visitors and employees in a friendly and cheerful manner.
- Assist with the transport of soiled linen containers and clean linen carts.
- Load and operate commercial washers and dryers.
- Check stock and notify executive housekeeper of supply needs.
- Inspect linens to locate and salvage stained or torn items.
- Record counts for discarded linens.
- Fold and stack towels, sheets and other linens.
- Clean storerooms, laundry and organizing storage areas.
- Report equipment problems to maintenance.
- Maintain equipment and laundry areas. Clean and keep areas neat and orderly.
- Adhere to all fire, safety and security procedures.
- Perform additional assignments as required.
Job Requirements:
- One year previous housekeeping experience preferred.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Requires reaching overhead, climbing, crouching, and twisting.
- Weekend availability is required.
