KanOkla Networks is a full-service provider of technology, security, and telecommunications products and services. We are seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Network Central Office Technician.
Job Description:
The central office technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunication systems within central office environments. They manage equipment and provide customer support to ensure the smooth operation of communication networks.
- Installs and maintains central office cable system and other equipment.
- Troubleshoots CO equipment issues.
- Installs, performs routine maintenance, analyzes defects, tests, adjusts, repairs, and maintains complex equipment such as switching systems, circuit equipment, network terminal equipment, and data/digital equipment by using electrical and or electronic measuring devices.
- Runs diagnostic test programs, analyzes defects and/or tests various types of switching equipment, uses various types of testing devices, spectrum analyzers, digital communications, data analyzers, etc.
- Takes On-Call on a rotating basis and responds to outages.
Qualifications:
·High school diploma or equivalent required
·Previous experience in an electrical, IT or mechanical field
·Previous experience with troubleshooting and repairing cable or fiber-based systems is preferred
·Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required
·Experience working with a Windows computer is required
IT certifications are a plus!
