The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
- SAFETY: Responsible, professional, and accountable for conducting job tasks in a safe and healthy manner which includes performing in accordance with Health Safety Security & Environmental (HSSE) philosophy, standards, programs, rules and permits.
- Work responsibly and take any necessary precautions to protect self and others from injury and health hazards.
- Support the Director of Projects & associated team in providing engineering solutions, technological development, and operational standards with focus on pipeline construction used in the company.
- Such projects include pipeline integrity inspection, remediation, testing and repair projects; pipeline construction, replacement & abandonment projects; and pipeline facility projects involving, pumps, automation and controls, measurement, corrosion mitigation, encroachments.
- Acts as technical expert between company, customers, and vendors.
- Ability to coordinate the operation led design of projects through interdepartmental team or third-party engineering firms in all phases of projects.
- Ability to review and provide hydraulic designs for permanent piping systems and cost modeling.
- Maintains current and accurate system maps, as-built drawings, and project records
- Review engineering and operational tasks and initiate the necessary corrective actions.
- Learn and operate Select’s existing technology solutions.
- Provide technical and engineering support to project/construction personnel.
- Work alongside technicians, vendors, internal operations, and pipeline general contractors.
- Ensuring the quality of product is a focus for all team members.
- Develops procedures, standards and guidelines that support the procurement, construction of pipeline as associated equipment as required.
- Familiar with SCADA platforms
- Assists procurement as needed, with technical expertise for material/equipment specifications. Support cost reduction/efficiency mandates.
- Assists to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Required – 10+ years of engineering experience.
- Required – Bachelors, preference towards Mechanical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering
- Required – PE Certification.
- Preferred – successful execution of multiple concurrent projects in excess >$10mm USD each.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient and proactive verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite – Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Experience of using 3D CAD programs, P&ID software, Hydraulic modeling.
- Strong process development skills. Able to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision with strong initiative and finishing skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to achieve deadlines in a changing environment.
- Hands on attitude able get things to a successful conclusion.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
