Intervention Specialist (IS) Services
THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN INTERVENTION SPECIALIST LICENSE THROUGH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.
The responsibilities of the MINDscapes LLC Intervention Specialist (IS) will include collaboration with the parent, school staff and MINDscapes staff for case management, direct intervention services, indirect services, progress reporting, and IEP writing as follows:
- The IS will provide direct and indirect services to students with educational disabilities.
- The IS will meet all compliance regulations regarding the special education process under IDEA.
- The IS will write and implement an Individualized Educational Program for each child, complimentary to his/her educational strengths and needs as defined through the IEP process under IDEA.
- The IS will use data to identify resources needed for that student to access the general education curriculum, determine the appropriate goals for that individual, and then turn that knowledge into a suitable educational program for the student.
- Goals will reflect having greater success with the general education curriculum or preparing for independence and a community presence later in life.
- The IS will provide direct intervention services based on IEP goals and following Best Practices to the extent possible.
- The IS will develop positive relationships with the school staff, students, and parents.
- The IS will track data on all students each time direct services are provided.
- The IS will gather necessary data to complete a well-written quarterly progress report, following Best Practices to the extent possible.
- Parent participation will be encouraged by the IS through phone, email, text, or face-to-face contact.
- The IS will enter IEPs and progress reports directly into the school’s electronic system, as appropriate.
- The IS will schedule and attend the ETR and IEP meetings of all students on the caseload, in collaboration with the school and parent.
- The IS will oversee state testing for all students on the JPSN scholarship.While students on the AU scholarship are not required to take the state tests, they are welcome to sit for the tests at the parent’s request.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Experience:
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Intervention Specialist License issued by the ODE (Required)
