Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement behavior management strategies and support individuals in developing appropriate social skills
- Monitor and document individual progress and behaviors
- Collaborate with a team of professionals including nurses, social workers, and childcare providers
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with systems for documenting individual progress and behaviors
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed
