Marketing and Sales Associate
Sunland Home Care is the nation’s premiere in-home care organization. We provide non-medical, in-home care services to seniors who want to stay home, but need assistance through our dedicated, compassionate and professional caregivers. We specialize in providing in-home care assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, Personal Care, Transportation assistance to and from medical appointments, Meal Preparation, Companionship, medication reminders, exercise and activity supervision. Position and Scope of the opportunity
The successful candidate for the Director of Marketing will report directly to the Owner of Sunland Home Carel, Traci Beagley. The candidate will oversee all external marketing affairs for Sunland Home Care in the Scottsdale and Phoenix market and other emerging home care markets. The Director of Marketing will represent the brand and company at various locations and functions in the senior community and will be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with various professionals in the senior care community. In addition to building the company image in the community, the Director of Marketing will work with Sunland Home Care Management staff to oversee the delivery and quality of services provided by Sunland Home Care field staff. This includes, but is not limited to management of marketing & sales staff, creation and implementation of sales strategies, development of partnerships and contract negotiations. Under the direction of the Executive Director, this position will also manage an annual Marketing & Sales budget and is expected to operate in a fiscally responsible manner.
This position oversees all aspects of Community Relations, including but not limited to all Customer Marketing, Sales, Assessment of Customer needs, as well as resolving customer concerns or issues with care. This position will interface with, and coordinate with the Care Managers in the office. Ensuring that the customer's needs and expectations are well understood is a key priority to ensuring the proper delivery of care in the home.
The successful candidate will have a business building approach with an entrepreneurial spirit, a strategic thinker able to focus on details while overseeing the bigger picture. He/she will work with other key executives in the company in addition to being a hands-on professional possessing expert leadership skills in home care, assisted living, skilled nursing or other related fields. Duties and Responsibilities 50% Customer Marketing
● Develop new relationships with potential referral sources. Ie: Skilled Nursing Facility Social Worker, Discharge Planners, Hospital Staff, Doctors Offices, etc.
● Design, develop and implement, in collaboration with company owners, Sunland Home Care’s overall sales and marketing initiatives focusing on strategic sustainable growth.
● Design, update and/or review current marketing strategies, as necessary.
● Identify new markets & referral sources for expansion opportunities of SHCM services.
● Strategically design, develop and implement new market expansion plans.
● Assure program stability in a competitive market.
● Participate in Weekly Care Plan Meetings with Sunland Home Care office Staff.
● Be familiar with all Sunland Home Care clients, staff and clients potential needs.
● Meet regularly with Company Owners to review activities, provide support, assign tasks, establish, review or revise goals and objectives pertaining to Marketing programs and efforts.
● Participate in rotating “On-Call” duties
● Represent Sunland Home Care to all organizations and agencies as appropriate.
● Oversee all Marketing, Sales, and Admissions for the Phoenix area
● Assist with supplemental staffing, care management and care coordination to help ensure quality services are delivered to exceed the needs and expectations of every customer
40% Customer Assessments & Evaluations
● Schedule In-Person and/or virtual (home or facility) assessments and evaluations with potential customers and their families
● Learn to evaluate customer needs and offer solutions to their in-home care problems
● Help customers and families understand what services may be beneficial or critical to help their loved ones remain at home
● Set up customers with services from Sunland Home Care
- o Complete Customer Paperwork – Client Service Agreement, etc
- o Complete online documentation within SHCM management software system
- o Collect a 2-week customer deposit
● Follow up with all referral sources on the outcome of your assessment visit
● Follow the patient’s progress and provide regular updates to those involved in the patient’s care and progress, such as the referring physician, case manager, social worker, etc.
10% Case Management & In Field Supervision
● Work with the Staffing & Scheduling department to perform in-field client visits
● Identify ways to help solve Customer and/or Employee problems
● Provide support and in-field training to Sunland Home Care’s employees where necessary
Skills & Experience Required
Experience required for the position includes the following:
- A successful track record indicating a working knowledge of sales/marketing, business operations, quality assurance, program development and implementation, and customer service for both internal and external clients.
- Leadership qualities (high energy level, diplomatic, performance driven, customer service oriented, and ability to lead a team).
- Must be able to move quickly while making informed and intelligent decisions.
- Operate in a manner that is fair, equitable and perceived as such by others.
- A leader that can develop a successful marketing campaign represented by growth and business development.
- Be able to grow and replicate their performance day in and day out through measurable results.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and current auto insurance, with applicable proof of certification and / or licensure.
- Must have a fingerprint clearance card.
COMPENSATION
Base Salary
The compensation is made up of several components - including a Base Salary, Commission Structure, and Additional Benefits.
