Position Purpose:
Improve the success of herd genetics and reproductive efficiency for clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic
and Southeast region. Utilizing both conventional and in-vitro fertilization methods of embryo
production for making pregnancies and going beyond each client’s specific needs and expectations.
Work with a progressive team that is passionate about bovine reproduction and sets high
professionalism standards for work ethic and environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule farm visits.
Maintain good relationships with clients with prompt service including follow up calls.
Assist veterinarians chute side and in the lab.
Set up filters, prepare all medias and supplies used during the collection of embryos and
oocytes.
Demonstrate the ability to rinse, search, wash, and accurately grade embryos according to IETS
standards.
Oocyte searching, evaluation, loading, and shipping.
Freeze embryos for storage.
Maintain good laboratory techniques and follows lab protocols.
Appropriately label straws, canes, and goblets according to company policy and IETS standards.
Complete documentation of collection and transfer information accurately including computer
data entry.
Keep accurate inventory and reorder supplies as needed.
Monitor and fill nitrogen storage tanks as needed.
Communicate openly and honestly with clients and team members.
Must maintain a professional image.
Education and other Requirements:
B.S. in Animal Science/Biology or Veterinary Technician degree preferred
Prior experience preferred but not necessary
Willingness to travel on overnight trips through-out the year and at higher amounts during
seasonal peaks (March-June) and (November-January).
Other skills/experience:
Must have valid driver’s license.
Must be able to operate a company vehicle.
Strong sense for connecting with clients by identifying and fulfilling their needs.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
High degree of professionalism and professional image.
Proficiency in computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
