Our Specialist Asset Engineer will coordinate the project scope development, budgeting, scheduling, contracting, design packages development, construction, and commissioning. This role will assist the field operations team in solving operational technical issues while engaging with offshore asset Joint Venture partners, customers, and other departments within the Gas Transmission business. You may also assist in some commercial negotiations, asset due diligence, departmental budgeting, and administrative duties.

What you will do:
- Provide on-going technical support to Field Operations including analyzing a broad variety of technical issues, requiring the application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Develops scopes and estimates for different projects by working closely with field operations and commercial staff.
- Coordinates all phases of project work such as development of project scope, cost estimate, design, ROW acquisition, contractor selection, procurement, inspection, construction, and commissioning activities.
- Engineer will be trained and be responsible to respond to operational emergency situations and offshore oil spill response
- Work with field operations to review assets from engineering perspective to identify and develop capital and operating budgets to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
- Participate in the planning and development of the annual capital and operational project budgets for the Region.
- Manage other projects as assigned. Project work will primarily involve offshore pipelines and facilities on platforms, with occasional onshore projects.
- Provide project management of maintenance capital and operational projects. Including project reporting, budget, and schedule management.
Who you are :
You have:
- 10+ years of engineering and project management experience related to the pipeline industry along with 5+ years of experience related to offshore pipeline project management
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably mechanical, civil or electrical in addition to having knowledge of offshore gas pipeline and platform facilities operations
You can:

You are:
- An excellent written and verbal communicator with well developed project management, problem solving, conflict resolution and organizational skills
- Proficient with the Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and other common business software’s
The following are considered assets:
- Experience or knowledge of offshore gas pipeline dense phase operations and deepwater marine vessel ROV Operations
- Prior design or operational experience with gas compression, dehydration, and liquid stabilization facilities is a plus
- Familiarity of governmental agencies regulations such as PHMSA (49CFR 192) and BSEE (30CFR 250) related to the pipeline industry
Working Conditions:
- Work performed in typical office environment with up to 20% travel for projects and Operations field visits
- Must be able to travel by vehicle, airplane, helicopter and occasional marine vessel

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
