FULL-TIME ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT - FOREST HILLS, PA
JusticeWorks, a social services company who contracts with Children Youth and Families is seeking a dedicated and insightful Accounting Assistant to join our team. The Accounting Assistant will provide administrative support to the CFO and other Executive members. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Accounting Assistant provides administrative support in a team working relationship. The Accounting Assistant also serves as a liaison to the senior management team; organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts and oversees special projects. The position will work with several companies, and the Accounting Assistant is a vital resource to allow the organization to succeed.

The qualified Accounting Assistant will:
- Collaborate with Senior Accountant and Financial Managers to successfully execute various accounting tasks.
- Maintain company ledgers and daily financial transactions.
- Create financial documents such as bills, invoices, pay-orders, payables, receivables and purchase orders.
- Enter and pay AP invoices, including mailing and filing documents.
- Identify discrepancies in ledgers and accounts, tracking them to the source and correcting them.
The qualified Accounting Assistant will have:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) and QuickBooks (or similar systems)
- Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and access to a vehicle.
- Pass current, applicable clearances.
- Pass pre-employment, post-offer drug screening.
