The System Administrator / Field Support Engineer will support the Houston headquarters office (break/fix network, desktop, and general IT support) and other offices remotely; support collection / reimaging / distribution of tablets and notebooks (MACs); support field / remote sites (40+) with any network and equipment related issues, MDM support; Provide support for network drives, SharePoint, and other network tools as directed. Will work with the CAM infrastructure team and third party partners delivering support.
This position reports to the head of Infrastructure, is based in Houston, Texas, and will manage third party applications providers and service delivery partners supporting 40+ locations and more than 5,000 people.
SKILLS & CRITICAL TASKS
- Extremely organized, able to plan out transition / support efforts, identify and resolve network and desktop technical issues; work with ServiceNow ticketing / issue tracking.
- Expert at working with system’s stakeholders / end users to support new enhancement / break fix / upgrades
- Experience in a distributed / multi-site support model.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to document status, processes, guides, training materials and communicate well with internal customers and external service providers.
- Team player who takes initiative, strives for continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, able to think and act independently, challenges positively, and can counsel and support the IT team on enhancing system performance and availability.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in IT systems administration, Field Support, Desktop support
- Must have 5+ years’ experience requirements supporting multiple sites
- Experience with MDM.
- Experienced with iPads and notebooks / Windows.
- Familiar with ServiceNow
- Experience in working with external service provider partners
- Bachelor's degree preferred or experience in lieu
- Security+, Network+, CCNA+, other similar certifications
- Multi-country support experience – preferably including Canada and United States
- Ability to travel in US and Canada as needed
