Job Responsibilities for Teachers:
Big Bend National Park
San Vicente Independent School District (ISD) in the Big Bend region of Texas offers a picturesque setting with low-cost housing for teachers. We're looking for dedicated individuals, either certified teachers or those interested in alternative certification, to join our team in Texas as an Instructional Coach/Teacher. Whether you're experienced or transitioning into teaching, we welcome passionate candidates eager to foster a supportive learning environment. You'll have opportunities to impact students positively and grow as an educator in a very small rural school district. Roles may include general education teaching and instructional coaching.
Responsibilities:
- Instructional Coach Responsibilities:• Support teachers in professional development, coaching, and improvement.• Enhance curriculum alignment with state standards and district goals.• Analyze student data and set SMART goals for improvement.• Facilitate professional learning communities and model effective teaching strategies.• Engage parents and the community in supporting student success.• General Ed Teacher Responsibilities:• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with standards.• Manage classrooms effectively, promote positive behavior, and build relationships.• Assess student progress and communicate with parents/guardians.• Participate in professional development and collaborate with colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.• Valid Texas Teaching Certificate or eligibility for alternative certification.• Strong subject knowledge and teaching skills.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and continuous improvement.• Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
Additional Information:
- Positions may be funded through grants.• Partial funding through 2024-2025 school year, contingent on grant completion.• Blended Learning Coach role includes professional development, instructional oversight, and part-time teaching.

Required:
