Job Summary:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for payroll processes, computing wages, and ensuring that employees’ salaries are paid correctly and on time, on a weekly basis. The Payroll Specialist will manage and maintain employee data and records, prepare and issue earnings statements, manage direct deposits, and ensure accuracy of employee pay and tax reporting. This position works closely with department managers, third party administrators, and associates to provide any assistance with payroll related questions/ issues.
Duties / Responsibilities:
· Weekly Payroll Processing
· Process weekly timecards and payroll data in a HRIS
· Accurately update and process payroll changes including new hires, terminations, FMLA and changes to pay rates
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements, as well as company policies and procedures
· Maintain accurate team member records and update them as needed
· Assist in onboarding process, including New Hire paperwork and E-Verify
· Oversee and review time and attendance
· Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns
· Process Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability

· Candidate should have experience working with Microsoft Excel
· Minimum of 3 years of Payroll experience
· Proficient computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Office
· Associate’s degree or higher degree preferred
