Job description
Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff
- Assist with medical procedures, such as wound care or tube feeding
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or similar role preferred
- Knowledge of basic physiology and medical terminology
- Familiarity with behavioral health and working in a medical office setting
- Experience with specialized procedures such as spinal taps or working in an ICU
- Experience working in a nursing home or long-term care facility is a plus
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems, such as eClinicalWorks
- Understanding of primary care principles and patient care plans
- Knowledge of tube feeding techniques and protocols
- Ability to accurately complete medical documentation
