Direct Support Professionals are the heart and soul of our services to our Individuals. They develop relationships with individuals with an intellectual and/or developmental disability at their day program, communities, volunteer settings, or other environments, in order to promote their emotional, physical and personal well-being. In this role, DSPs help individuals reach their goals by offering guidance, instruction, and role modeling. DSP's actively search for opportunities for individuals to experience life in their homes and communities as others without disabilities do. DSP's assist individuals in the development of appropriate interaction skills, money management, housekeeping, hygiene, and other skills necessary to reach their highest level of potential. This position will require an active individual to consistently take individuals out in the community. Must have a reliable vehicle.
Responsibilities:
-Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our individuals
-Nurturing the goals, self-determination, and unique personalities of those we serve participate in frequent trainings on individuals and best practices
-Transporting individuals to their designated activities or volunteer or job opportunities -Participating, engaging, and being an active peer in our individual's daily goals or activities
-Working with and encouraging individuals to practice everyday skills
-Supporting hygiene, emotional, and physical health
-Providing services according to the Individual Plan and Behavioral Plan
-Accurately completing all documentation requirements
-Complying with all Organization procedures, policies, and direction
-Frequent communication with supervisor regarding daily activities

Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
