Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Project Engineer to work in our Houston location. The hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Project Engineer will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.
The ideal candidate will have excellent math skills, applied creativity, mechanical skills, problem-solving skills, team-oriented, customer service driven, and attention to detail. This candidate will also have experience in a project-related industry.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical)

Five (5) years of experience in a project-related industry preferred

Prior water/wastewater infrastructure project experience preferred.
Job Description:
-
Provide general project management support to the project manager and the team.
-
Review and understand customer technical specifications relating to valves, piping, instruments, pumps, tanks, and vessels.
-
Monitor compliance with applicable codes, standards, practices, and specifications.
-
Attend and distribute minutes for internal and customer meetings as required.
-
Create and distribute monthly Project Team updates.
-
Follow up on Project action items to ensure timely closure.
-
Coordinate initial document submissions, address customer comments, timely resubmission of revised documents, and closure to achieve approved status.

Support correspondence with customers via the Project Manager.

Internal Communication and ability to help problem solve with the following departments: Equipment Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Shop, Purchasing.

Track and expedite materials required for assembly, and shipping in SAP.

Resolve Defect Notifications during the Shop Assembly Phase.

Preparation of packing slips and other project-related shipment documents.

Travel to visit vendors, job sites, or customers as and when required.

Work autonomously without constant guidance.

Overnight travel may be occasionally required.

10% International and Domestic travel will be required
