Job Description: Light Industrial Worker (General Laborer)
Shift Timing: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Lunch: 1 Hour (unpaid)
Location: 637 S. Clinton Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08611
Job Duties:
- Troubleshoot Mechanical Issues:
- Address routine mechanical problems related to AV/Recording Systems and office equipment.
- Maintain logs for copy and fax machines.
- Contact technical representatives when necessary and maintain appropriate service records.
- Operate Duplicating Equipment:
- Photocopy reports, correspondence, and other materials as required.
- Assist Division of Operations:
- Provide assistance related to moving office furniture and maintaining inventories.
- Set Up AV/Recording Systems:
- Operate video, sound, and recording systems for internal and external training, meetings, and events within designated time frames.
- Assemble Exhibit Booths:
- Set up and dismantle HMFA exhibit booths (floor displays, booths, monitors, tables, chairs, etc.) and prepare handout materials for external conferences, meetings, and events in accordance with trade show regulations.
- Mail Duties:
- Pick up and deliver mail from the U.S. Post Office and other State agencies.
- Sort and distribute mail internally.
- Deliver outgoing mail to the U.S. Post Office daily.
- Maintain United Parcel Service account records.
- Meter Outgoing Mail:
- Meter outgoing mail and materials as directed by HMFA standards and Federal postal regulations.
- Compile data to generate monthly charges for postage used.
- Deliver Outgoing Mail:
- Deliver outgoing mail and materials to State offices daily as directed.
- Maintain Supply Control System:
- Oversee all aspects of the supply control system, including ordering, inputting, processing, and completing supply requests and deliveries.
- Compile Monthly Agenda:
- Accurately compile the monthly Agenda within the established time frame.
- Generate Reports:
- Generate various computer reports as required.
- Process Invoices:
- Prepare requisitions in the system to process invoices within the required time frames.
- Other Duties:
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Copy Preparation and Layout:
- Knowledge of principles and techniques of copy preparation, composition, and layout.
- Office Procedures:
- Knowledge of general office procedures.
- Effective Communication:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to listen actively.
- Data Input:
- Ability to accurately input data into the computer.
- Office Machines:
- Ability to operate and maintain office machines.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
