Ticketers / Event Staff
Overview: This is a two day even on June 21 and June 23rd, expected 12hr work day. 10 AM (Setup) - 10 PM (Wrap). We are accepting applications for one or two days if you can only make those. Pay is based on a 12-hour day, with time for lunch and breaks. Lunch is catered. We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals with a passion for events, hospitality, and customer service to assist in executing this exciting international sporting event, featuring matches between Armenia, Ireland, and Guatemala.
Duties:
- Scan tickets at entry points using provided technology.
- Monitor entrances and exits to ensure a smooth and secure flow of guests.
- Greet and check-in guests as they arrive, verifying tickets and providing event information.
- Direct guests to their seats and designated areas, including VIP sections, restrooms, and concessions.
- Arrange and set up equipment in fan zones and other event areas.
- Assist in setting up and managing interactive fan zones, including games, merchandise stands, and information booths.
- Support event management team with various tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success of the event.
Safety and Support:
- Monitor event activities to ensure guest safety and adherence to event guidelines.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and courteously.
- Collaborate with security and medical staff to address any emergencies or incidents.
Skills:
- Previous experience in event management, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and conflict management skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to make announcements or provide directions clearly and confidently.
- Familiarity with ticket scanning technology and basic troubleshooting.
- Comfortable using event management software and communication tools.
Teamwork:
- Ability to work well in a team environment, supporting and collaborating with fellow staff members.
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle various tasks and changing situations.
Physical Stamina:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.
