Position Summary
The Server greets, seats and services guests in a friendly and courteous manner; takes and delivers orders; suggestively sells; receives payment and assists other service personnel as needed to provide total guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a polite, positive manner.
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets the legal drinking age.
- Answer questions about the menu and take food orders. Explains how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients, and cooking methods. Suggests any menu item.
- Submit food order into kitchen and beverage order to bartender.
- Serve guests their desired entrees in a friendly, efficient manner.
- Maintain pleasant dining experience.
- Check with guests throughout to ensure that they are enjoying their visit and take action to correct any problems.
- Deliver check and completes transaction making accurate change when necessary.
- Perform clean-up duties after each meal service; prepare and set up for next meal.
- Keep assigned tables clean and properly set up, including vacuuming/sweeping, and arranging tables and chairs.
- Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all food and drink menu items, promotions, ingredients, and prep time.
- Complete all assigned opening, running, closing duties and side work.
- Clean, restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
- Ensures timely and consistent execution of service.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.29 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 36 per week
