Position Title: Child Care Center Teacher
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a rich teaching/learning environment which encompasses each learning domain: language, cognitive, gross motor, fine motor, self help/adaptive, social-emotional
Maintain an organized, safe and appealing environment conducive to the optimal growth and development of children Plan and implement daily program of activities developmentally appropriate based on Louisiana Department of Education Early Learning Guidelines Plan and gather necessary tools (documentation, TS Gold, etc) to assess the needs of the individual child for curriculum planning
Maintain program quality, adhering to all state licensing agencies and regulations Possess knowledge of Teaching Strategies GOLD, Louisiana Pathways, CLASS assessment system, research based practices, developmentally appropriate practices
Review each child’s progress and develop plan to promote each child’s growth and development Maintain positive relationships with children and families with open communication concerning all aspects of the child’s day
Mentor student interns
Attend required trainings mandated by state licensing
Maintain records of children’s progress
Maintain confidentiality of information
Maintain good communication with enrolled families by responding appropriately to their interests, requests, and needs
Prepare for special events; including, but not limited to, holidays and parties, dress-up days, deadline dates, picture days.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of one year experience in an early learning center preferred;
minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA), Associate Degree or equivalent preferred.
Must have, or able to obtain, Louisiana Department of Education Early Childhood Ancillary Teaching Certificate

Pay: $10.50 - $16.00 per hour
