This is a Remote Role After In-Person Training in Knoxville, TN!
JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
Note: This position is responsible for the essential functions in the financial statement month-end close process. It is a position which, after in-person training in Knoxville,TN, will be remote. Although remote, we are looking for candidates in the Eastern or Central time zones.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares and posts monthly journal entries in Lawson accounting system
- Works directly with the regional accountants in obtaining information needed for month-end close
- Prepares financial statements and supporting balance sheet schedules for month-end close
- Reviews income statement accounts and ensures inline with budget
- Works as a liaison between NSC/THCORP and Divisional leadership during monthly close
- Maintains the allocation of all Scribe Hours and Costs to the affiliate divisions
- Completes special projects and additional tasks as assigned by management
