Responsibilities and Duties:
1. The KNAPP Technician obtains medication from shelf and places it into correct package.
2. Records expiration date and lot number on prescriptions.
3. Process prescriptions thru a barcode system.
4. The KNAPP Technician runs the Mach 8 and Color Max 8.
5. Has Knowledge of Work Flow System.
6. The KNAPP Technician has knowledge on how to fill U.D.
7. The KNAPP Technician informs pharmacist or supervisor when discrepancies are found or decisions need to be made.
8. The KNAPP Technician reorders drugs as needed.
9. Runs vial machine as needed, if assigned.
10. Makes speed labels.
11. Knows proper owing procedure in Work Flow System.
12. Communicates with the immediate supervisor or purchasing department special inventory needs.
13. Keeps pharmacy area neat and clean.
14. Maintains neat and clean personal appearance.
15. Maintains the confidentiality of all patient and company information
16. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma
Experience/Knowledge:
* High degree of accuracy for detail work
* Ability to organize one's own work
* Reliability and Honesty
Physical Requirements:
In an 8-10 hours day the employee
A. May lift/carry 0-20 lbs frequently
B. Stands/walks 100% of the time
C. Sits 0% of the time
D. Drives a car/truck 0% of the time
