Primary Purpose of Position:
Responsible for daily collections of recycling, waste (regular, medical and bulk), event set-up, furniture moves, and other tasks as assigned.
Job Duties:

Answers all radio calls promptly.

Waste and recycling collection (entire campus).

Vacuuming of corridor floors on units
-
Rooms/apt furniture moves.
-
Office moves.
-
Event set up / tear down.
-
Cleanliness of Grounds and parking structures.

Observes and reports concerns related to Utility or other building/Grounds issues.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Entrances to main lobbies Chai Point, Adult Day Center, Jewish Home clean doors and surrounding glass (Daily and weekly or Monthly)

Proper use and storage of vacuum, cleaning supplies, dust mops, cleaning machines, snow equipment and other related equipment.
- May need to on occasion, relieve receptionist for breaks or lunch but not entire shift

Carries out all duties in accordance with corporate Mission.

Able to understand and to follow written and verbal directions. Able to effectively communicate with staff members and residents through verbal and/or written means.

Able to interact effectively with all residents.

Knowledge of emergency and disaster procedures of facility.
- Able to locate nearest exit, to understand and respond to written or verbal instruction in case of emergency.

Sufficient mobility, and strength to move freely through the building, to assure resident safety at all times and to assist, transfer, or otherwise move residents out of danger in case of emergency.
Experience:
Prior experience in commercial and/or residential cleaning
Prior experience in commercial and/or residential laundry (preferred)
Specialized training or experience in geriatric are or gerontology (preferred)
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Other:
Must maintain complete confidentiality and discretion.
Read, write and speak the English language.
