Ocean Spray Cranberries is looking for a Sr. Engineering Support Technician to join our Plant team! In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to engineering processes. You will support capital project implementation, providing expertise on plant systems to ensure effective administration. You will collaborate with plant engineering teams to adhere to regulatory requirements in managing equipment. Additionally, you will support key safety and FSQA operations in the plant environment.

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to join our team. As an Controls and Automation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting automated systems and equipment. Your expertise in mechanical knowledge and logic controllers will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair automated systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with logic controllers, sensors, motors, and other components
- Fabricate and modify parts as needed to optimize system performance
- Calibrate instruments and perform routine maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to improve system efficiency
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and implement preventive measures
- Assist in the development of automation strategies to enhance productivity
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Experience working with logic controllers, distributed control systems, and industrial automation equipment
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical circuits and reading schematics
- Knowledge of high voltage systems and safety protocols
- Familiarity with E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) practices
- Previous experience in field service or industrial maintenance preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
What We Are Looking For:
• Troubleshoot and repair automation equipment (PLCs, I/O, HMI, Ethernet communication equipment)
• Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical equipment (servos, motors, VFD equipment)
• Knowledge of control system principles
• Knowledge of blending and packaging operations
• Knowledge of Krones OEM equipment
• Interpret electrical schematics, process & instrumentation diagrams (PIDs) and process flow diagrams (PFDs)
• Use of computerized maintenance management software
• Use of SCADA systems
• Technical School/Training Preferred
Education:
High School Diploma (Preferred)
Work Experience:
At least 1 Year of Experience
