Workplace Violence Program Manager – Hourly/Overtime Eligible
$85,000 - $100,000 (Salary commensurate with experience)

At the direction of Foresight’s Leadership, and in support of the client’s Workplace Violence Governance Committee, the workplace violence program manager is responsible for the leadership, overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, subject matter expertise and completion of specific projects and education relating to workplace violence. The individual works with an interdisciplinary team to mitigate the risks of workplace violence (WPV) events.
The workplace violence program manager works with the client’s Human Resources team. The Human Resources team provides a professional, fair, and knowledgeable approach to supporting employees, management, volunteers, candidates, and visitors. The team provides guidance in employee relations and interpretation of policies, procedures, and content language, as well as facilitation of leave and disability management. While recruitment, training and compensation & benefits functions are centralized, those departments and the Human Resources teams work hand-in-hand to provide excellent service to their customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Workplace Violence Prevention:
- Oversees and contributes to the workplace violence prevention plan to assist with maintaining a safe workplace.
- Assists leadership in the approval process and maintenance of policies and procedures pertaining to workplace violence.
- Partners with stakeholders to complete workplace violence prevention plans and/or project charters outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing.
- Creates a work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task within workplace violence projects.
- Creates project schedules to identify when each task will be performed; determines how results will be measured.
- Tracks and reports project milestones and provides timely status reports to organizational leaders.
- Maintains effective communications with department leadership regarding all events or proposed changes which might impact regulatory issues or policies related to WPV.
- Completes post-project evaluations to determine how well results are achieved.
Risk Assessment and Incident Analysis:
- Builds and maintains risk assessment tools related to WPV.
- Assists in the analysis of workplace violence incidents and provides recommendations and additional training.
- Oversees the collection of data on employee injuries related to workplace violence.
- Tracks advances in WPV programs and makes recommendations on future strategies.
Technology and Reporting:
- Contributes to the evolution of WPV technology and identifies future technological solutions.
- Shares program highlights and regular reporting with executive leaders.
Committee Participation and Other Duties:
- Actively participates in both system and entity councils, committees, and initiatives aligned with the prevention and/or reduction of workplace violence.
- Accepts and performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
- Experience
- Three (3) years of program development/management experience, with at least one (1) year in Emergency Management, Workplace Violence, and/or Security experience required.
- Skills
- Principles and techniques of research, analysis, writing, and presentation.
- Correct usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation of the English language.
- Administrative functions of the Client.
- Principles and practices of changing Homeland Security and Oregon Emergency Management standards.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Communicating effectively, orally and in writing. Including preparing reports, memoranda, and information for a variety of audiences.

Preferred Qualifications
- CTM (ATAP) or CTM eligible
- Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant fields.
- Additional experience in WPV program implementation and management.
Work Environment
- The Workplace Violence Program Manager generally works in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal noise and intensity levels.
- Must have the ability to respond occasionally after normal business hours, during weekends and holidays and is subject to emergency recall or consultation for all shifts.
- Dynamic, fast-paced environment with the need to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Interaction with various levels of organizational staff and leadership.
- Requires discretion and confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of the role.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work in an office environment (60%) as well as indoor and outdoor environments (40%).
- Must be able to pass an extensive background check, psychological evaluation, and drug screening.
- Must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print, and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.
- Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to effectively read, write, and give oral presentations.
- Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage projects.
- Must be proficient in interpreting blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
- Completion of annual safety training.
- Adherence to established safe work methods and best practices, including situational awareness.
