What's the Short Version?
The Manager, Quality Control position at SanMar is responsible for addressing product quality concerns, drive improvement with suppliers, and improve product quality related processes. The primary function of this role is to manage and enhance the operations of an existing quality control infrastructure involving personnel, systems and procedures at multiple locations throughout the SanMar network. The position involves collaboration with cross functional teams both domestically and globally in order to achieve continued focus and improvement in the quality and safety of apparel and accessory products.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Manage the operations of Quality Control teams at Eastpointe, Preston, and Jacksonville including personnel, processes and procedures.
- Responsible for evaluating current technical & non-technical practices and procedure including product inspection with the objective of identifying efficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust product quality tracking and reporting system with the objective of helping to identify and mitigate quality challenges in the supply chain and impact product quality.
- Accountable for establishing and implementing continual process training, evaluation and improvement program.
- Collaborate with and lead quality control/product inspection initiatives across the SanMar product distribution center network.
- Responsible for managing and directing staff including providing training, guidance and mentorship.
- Develop dependable partnerships with cross functional teams including Product Development/Sourcing, Warehouses, Planning, Legal, Compliance, Decoration Relations, and Sales and others in support of department and company initiatives.
- Manage 3rd party inspection activities as required.
- Accountable for being a key contributor and participant in developing a functional, cohesive and dependable Product Quality Assurance/Quality Control infrastructure.
What Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 7-9 years years of experience working in the apparel/textile industry.
- Experience/knowledge of textiles, apparel and or accessory product.
- Experience of managing quality/inspection teams with multiple staff.
- Knowledgeable in product performance, testing, safety compliance.
- Prior experience and or knowledgeable in the use of a PLM and or other data systems.
- Proven experience and success leading and developing teams.
- Color proficient to superior level. (Munsell Hue color test will be administered).
- Ability to make balanced decisions based on technical data, knowledge and sound judgment.
- Ability to manage, lead and empower others and recognizes the value of teamwork.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to think strategically, take direction and formulate plans for improvement.
- Be an active participant and encourage a positive and supportive attitude in a team environment.
- Capable of collecting, understanding, analyzing and reporting data for continued process improvement.

- Ability to travel domestically and internationally on an as needed basis.
What's Our Offer?
Salary Range: You`ll earn between $105,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on experience.
Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 15% of base salary.
Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 152 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?
Hybrid: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work environment is moderately quiet. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions.
SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
