As a Healthcare Logistics Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective supply chain management within Porter. Your responsibilities will involve organizing, monitoring, and optimizing the storage and distribution of medical goods as well as optimizing the scheduling and routing of clinical staff. The ultimate goal is to enhance business development, ensure sustainability, and maintain customer satisfaction.
Your Impact at Porter
Porter is looking for a qualified Logistics Coordinator to help optimize the drive-time for our clinical workforce and ensure efficient and effective movement of medical supplies and equipment.
Objectives of the role include:
- Plan and implement in-home patient care using established medical protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate with the Practice Manager and VP of Operations, nurses, other staff, and external entities as needed.
- Coordinate logistics related to patient care, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure efficient movement of medical supplies and equipment between in-home healthcare providers.
- Monitor quality, quantity, stock levels, and delivery times.
- Collaborate with the Practice Manager and VP of Operations to improve safety procedures.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Strategic Planning and Management:
- Plan and manage logistics, Supply operations, transportation, and customer services.
- Direct, optimize, and coordinate the entire order cycle.
- Direct, optimize, and coordinate the in-home clinical staff scheduling and routing systems.
- Supplier and Stakeholder Interaction:
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.
- Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency.
- Supply Operations:
- Arrange supply layout, catalog goods, plan routes, and process shipments.
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints.
- Team Supervision and Performance Metrics:
- Supervise, coach, and train the logistic workforce.
- Monitor performance metrics and analyze data to assess efficiency and implement improvements.
- Compliance and Requirements:
- Comply with relevant laws, regulations, and practice requirements.
