Psych Medical Assistant
Job Purpose: This position serves to provide care to patients under the direction of a medical practitioner in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
What You Will Do:

Prepares charts for upcoming visits and ensures all necessary forms are completed, reviewed, and accepted into patient’s chart

Greets and rooms patients

Performs delegated medical tasks and procedures:
- Captures vitals, medical history, reason for visit, and documents in patient medical record

Performs visual acuity screening as part of a routine physical

Administers injections
-
Assists provider with procedures
-
Performs blood draws, collects specimens, performs urine drug screening, and communicates results
- Cleans exam rooms between appointments
- Stocks exam rooms with required inventory and disposes of expired supplies and biohazard waste

Troubleshoots patient issues with assigned provider

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
What we need from you:

Completion of Medical Assistant certificate or CAAHEP accredited program
- Medical Assistant or AA degree in a health-related field preferred

Six months of healthcare experience preferred
- Valid and current CPR, First Aid Certification, and an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Denova will assist with a Fingerprint Clearance Card upon acceptance of offer.)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of, and ability to use electronic record-keeping systems (EMR, billing software, insurance carrier portals, spreadsheets, etc.) preferred

Bilingual a plus, not required

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older to qualify for this position.

- Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3pm
