Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, scanning and queuing documents in to EMR, Front desk coverage
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Take patient vital signs and record medical history.
- Prepare examination rooms
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
- Provide patient education and instructions for at-home care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medical office.
-Prescription refill entries
Requirements:
- Completion of a medical assistant training program.
- Certification as a medical assistant preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- able to perform EKGs
